Biography

A self-taught artist, shaped by survival

Honey Gupta is a self-taught artist from Gurgaon whose immense passion for painting drew her to the canvas from the earliest years. She began her journey designing ornaments for her family's jewellery business, but the freedom of colour and canvas — painting as a form of meditation — kept calling her back.

Her early work spanned joker and portrait series focused on unspoken emotions. A cancer diagnosis at a very young age taught her to paint for herself, and her practice moved into abstraction — geometry, stitched surfaces, layered paper and sculpture — with works now held in many private collections.

She completed a jewellery designing course at J.D. Institute, a B.Com (Hons.) from Gargi College, D.U., and a B.Ed. in 2016. She also ran Orient Creatives, a corporate and personal gifting business.
